Mastering Post-Decree Modification Standards: Best Interests Versus Endangerment

Co-sponsored by the CBA Family Law Section

Program Description:

Join us as we address the timeless inquiry of what standard applies when modifying parenting time and decision-making: best interests of the child or endangerment? Young lawyers will learn the basics as we apply the standards to different modification scenarios, including what standard applies when parenting time is shared equally, when a change of primary residence is requested, when parenting time is being restricted, and when a parent is seeking to relocate. We will also learn the standards that govern modification of decision-making when parents share decision-making jointly, when one parent has sole decision-making, and when one parent has no decision-making. Grab your coffee and prepare for a morning well-spent!
