Proactive Practices: Avoiding Conflicts of Interest and Maintaining Well-Being as Part of Competent Lawyering

Join in the Innovation! Proactive Practices for Attorneys

The Colorado Office of Attorney Regulation Counsel is launching an innovative Self-Assessment Survey for attorneys. After a similar program was implemented in Australia, the data and results showed a dramatic decrease in complaints to Attorney Regulation. This new Self-Assessment Survey will assist attorneys in improving their practices by allowing them to self-assess how well they perform in 10 key areas.

This CLE program will review two of the Core Practice Principles of the Self-Assessment Survey: avoiding conflicts of interest and wellness and inclusivity, and will identify best practices and rule requirements specific to each principle. The Survey also provides extensive educational resources, including links to relevant articles and other practice management tools.
