This segment discussed Evidence-Based Sentencing principles, with a goal of reducing recidivism rates among inmates. Some of the Evidence-Based principles include the risk principle, the need principle, and treatment and responsivity principles. Also discussed is the interplay of treatment and community-based sanctions.
