Program Description:

Derek Pilling of Meritage Funds provides a unique perspective on M&A transactions, including busted M&A transactions, as he has the opportunity to live such transactions from both the perspective of an institutional investor and in the trenches as an operator. Derek discusses his thoughts, suggestions and ideas based upon his position as an institutional investor in companies undertaking an M&A transaction. In addition, Derek worked as an officer of a portfolio company of an institutional investor and lived daily the ups and downs of an M&A transaction from the company's perspective, including a busted M&A deal.
