As the federal government drastically withdraws its international aid programs, the importance of the non-profit sector’s international engagement has become even more critical. Many organizations are stepping in to fill in the gaps by inaugurating, expanding, or improving their international grant-making programs and/or operations. This hour-long program will equip private foundations and public charities with a foundational understanding of international grant-making compliance and offer a brief overview of key legal considerations for operating abroad. We will review applicable U.S. tax laws, anti-terrorism financing rules, and foreign country restrictions and will discuss options and best practices for cross-border giving and operations. Whether you advise tax-exempt organizations or serve on a nonprofit board, this program will provide you with essential insights into how to advance global charitable efforts while addressing legal risks.

CBA-CLE will email webinar access information 24-48 hours before the program.

Home studies will be available 2-3 weeks following the live program.
