Marti Cardi, Esq., is responsible for ensuring that Reed Group absence management services, software, and reference tools are provided in compliance with federal and state leave of absence and employment laws. Her team tracks legislative proceedings, trends, and case law on an on-going basis. Marti is the chief author, editor, and content expert for Reed Group's LeaveAdvisor, the most comprehensive and user-friendly on-line leave of absence reference tool available, covering the FMLA, ADA, state leave laws, and more. Marti's expertise in employment law and leave compliance includes more than 25 years as in-house employment counsel for national companies and in private practice with Denver law firms. Marti serves on the board of directors for the Colorado chapters of DMEC and the Association of Corporate Counsel (Colorado President, 2014). She is admitted to practice in Colorado and New York, and holds a J.D. from the University of Colorado School Of Law and a B.A. from Colorado State University.
