Casey A. Shpall, Esq. is the Deputy of the Natural Resources and Environment Section of the Colorado Department of Law.  The Section represent the Colorado Department of Natural Resources on issues relating to water rights, interstate compacts, mining, oil and gas, and the State Land Board and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment on issues relating to air quality, water quality, radiation control, consumer protection and the Governor's Energy Office.  Ms. Shpall was previously First Assistant for the Environmental Quality Unit as well as the CERCLA Litigation Unit.  She has worked in the Department of Law since 1991.  Ms. Shpall also worked in the Environment and Natural Resources Division of the United States Department of Justice, prosecuting civil violations of federal environmental statutes (CERCLA, RCRA, CAA, and CWA) on behalf of the Environmental Protection Agency.  Ms. Shpall received her J.D. in 1981 from Chicago-Kent College of Law and a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Design in 1977 from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
