Michael Guyerson, Esq., is a founding member of Onsager | Guyerson | Fletcher | Johnson and also a Certified Financial Planner (CFP). He is a past Chairperson of the Agricultural Law Section, 1988-1989. A 1981 graduate of the University of Colorado School of Law, Mike possesses a unique blend of litigation skills, people skills, and years of successful commercial and business restructuring experience. Mike's practice emphasizes chapter 12 and chapter 11 business bankruptcy, insolvency and commercial loan restructuring, the overall representation of debtors, creditor committees, trustees and creditors in bankruptcy matters, and commercial and bankruptcy litigation. Mike is also experienced with general agricultural law matters. Mike was co-trial counsel for the Plaintiff in the case of In Re S & D Pet Foods, Inc. 144 B.R. 121, 158 (Bankr. D. Colo. 1992), notable because of the $11.4 million dollar fraud and breach of partnership agreement verdict returned by the Bankruptcy Court in that adversary proceeding, one of the largest ever returned by a Colorado Bankruptcy Court. When not practicing law or financial planning Mike is an avid fly fishermen, runner and overall outdoorsmen having hiked the entire 498 mile Colorado trail with his trusty lab retriever Max.
