Kathryn 'Katy' E. Miller

Miller & Steiert PC
Katy Miller, Esq., began her legal career with Holland & Hart in 1980 and joined the law firm of Miller & Steiert in 1985. Her law practice was devoted to the area of employment law, representing both employers and employees. Her strong interest in striking a balance among differing perspectives caused her to explore alternative methods to resolve employment disputes.  In 1997, Katy founded the Littleton Alternative Dispute Resolution group (LADR), through which she serves as an employment/labor arbitrator, mediator, and independent fact-finder.  Since January 2006, she has devoted 100% of her time to serving as a neutral, primarily in the areas of workplace disputes.  Katy was co-managing editor of The Practitioner's Guide to Colorado Employment Law from 1998 until 2023.  She has been named in The Best Lawyers in America in the areas of both Labor and Employment Law, and Alternative Dispute Resolution, and is a member of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers. She was selected to the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals in 2010.  She has lectured extensively to lawyers and human resource professionals on a variety of employment issues. Katy has been named by her peers as a Super Lawyer/ADR Professional since 2006, and was selected in 2014 as Barrister's Best Mediator by Law Week Colorado.
