David Littman, Esq., is a former Chair of the Family Law Section.  He has also served as a member of the MDIC Board for over twenty years and has been a committed advocate for collegiality and a problem solving approach to family law for many years.  David received his law degree from Washington University in St. Louis, where he also obtained graduate degrees in counseling psychology and behavioral science.  His education and training enable him to address complex mental health issues, drug and alcohol abuse issues and certain medical issues that arise in the context of family law matters.  He was a founding member and is presently on the board of Colorado Collaborative Law Professionals.  David also served as a magistrate on a part time basis in Jefferson and Denver County courts.  His practice emphasizes Family Law, Mediation, Decision Making, ENA, Arbitration, as well as representation of parties in the traditional and collaborative law models.  He is a published author on family law issues and a frequent speaker at continuing legal education conferences.  He is a committed mentor and consultant to younger attorneys, both within and outside his own practice.
