Joe A. Cannon
Judge Joe A Cannon LLCJudge Joe A. Cannon, ret. has had 27 years experience in mediating, arbitrating and Judge Pro Tem assignments from the Supreme Court. Educated at Tulsa University Law School and as a Prettyman Fellow at Georgetown University. Judge Cannon practiced in the Honors Graduate Trial Attorney program for the U.S. Justice Department, Civil Rights Division. He represented indigents in the U.S. courts of the District of Columbia before being selected as a Smith Fellow for Legal Services in Colorado Springs. After entering private practice he was appointed to the District Court 4th Judicial District where he served before joining the Judicial Arbiter Group as a mediator. He left there in 1999 to form his own ADR firm and has conducted over 3000 cases. He served as a Senior District Judge in various districts around the state. His practice has focused on personal injury, commercial disputes and medical cases. He is the author of numerous articles and has served for over 10 years as the Editor of the Pikes Peak Lawyer. He currently is on the CBA Board of Governors.
