John R. Hill Jr
John R. Hill, Jr., Esq. is a Shareholder with Bratton Hill Wilderson & Lock, LLC in Gunnison, CO. From 1979 through 1991, attorney with the Department of Justice, Environment and Natural Resources Division in Denver. Represented federal interests (except Indian) in major water rights litigation in Colorado, Wyoming, Montana and Utah. Also represented the United States in Fifth Amendment taking cases in then Court of Claims. From 1958-1978 served in U.S. Army in various command and staff positions overseas and in the United States including two tours of duty with infantry and combat engineer units in Vietnam. Two assignments in the Corps of Engineers civil works program, the final of which was an Assistant Director of Civil Works with responsibility for coordination of the Corps of Engineers' environmental programs and formulation and recommendation of environmental policies to the Chief of Engineers.
