Mark A. Fogg
Childs McCune LLCMark A. Fogg, Esq., has practiced law for forty-four years. He is a Member and Manager of Childs McCune LLC and practices regulatory, litigation and business healthcare law as well as professional liability defense. He has assisted practitioners with hundreds of Colorado Medical Board cases. He was previously General Counsel at COPIC, a company providing medical liability insurance and patient safety/risk management education. His practice at Childs McCune is comprised of assisting healthcare clients with business issues, litigation, employment, regulatory compliance, fraud & abuse claims, professional review matters and risk assessment. He also defends professionals in healthcare related claims such as medical malpractice, medical board matters, anticompetitive claims and hospital related matters. He has lectured extensively in these areas. He received the Colorado Bar Association's highest award, the Award of Merit, in 2019 for outstanding service to the Colorado legal community and the legal profession and received the Denver Bar Association Award of Merit in 2010 for extraordinary service to the legal profession and the administration of justice. He received the 2011 CU Law Distinguished Alumni Award in private practice. He was the coordinator of the Professionalism Vignette Project in 2006-2007 which received the 2009 American Bar Association E. Smythe Gambrell Professionalism Award for the Colorado Bar Association/Denver Bar Association. He served from 2011 to 2019 as an appointed member of the Chief Justice's Commission on the Legal Profession and was a founder of the current Colorado Attorney Mentoring Program. He served on the Colorado Bar Association Ethics Committee for fifteen years. He was active on the Colorado Supreme Court Task Force on attorney well-being. He was a Chief Deputy District Attorney in the Denver District Attorney's Office. He received his education at James Madison College, Michigan State University, graduating magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, and his law degree from the University of Colorado where he received the William O. DeSouchet Award for best trial team. He was recently appointed by Chief Justice Boatright to serve as a Commissioner on the State Commission on Judicial Performance.
