John M. Lebsack

John M. Lebsack, Esq., has practiced law at White & Steele in Denver since his admission to the bar in 1979. His practice covers a wide variety of civil litigation, with an emphasis on appeals, insurance coverage disputes, and defense of professional liability lawsuits. He has tried cases in state courts throughout the Front Range as well as federal court in Denver. John has argued appeals to the Tenth Circuit, the Colorado Supreme Court, and the Colorado Court of Appeals. He also advises lawyers with regard to ethical issues. Since 1990 he has been a member of the Ethics Committee of the Colorado Bar Association; in 2006-2007 he was chair of the committee. He was a member of the Colorado Supreme Court Grievance Committee from 1995 to 1999, the last year as chair. John was chair of the Appellate Discipline Commission in 1999 and 2000. He currently serves as a hearing board member for attorney discipline cases. In 2003, John received the annual award given by the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association to a member of the defense bar "for the highest standards of competency, ethics and professionalism." In 2007 he taught a course on legal ethics and professionalism as an adjunct instructor at the University of Colorado Law School.
