Janet Jackim, Esq., named one of the Best Lawyers in America®, is an experienced transactional leader serving both large and small businesses across the United States in M&A, finance, real estate, litigation and debtor/creditor relations. Janet is the Co-Chair of the Zuber Lawler Cannabis Practice Group of 30 US attorneys. In matters involving the cannabis industry (one of her practice concentrations), she has closed upon the acquisition of numerous vertically integrated cannabis retailers in key cannabis states. She is one of the few attorneys credited with the successful emergence of a licensed cannabis retailer from a complex state receivership action. And years ago Janet made her mark, as Vice President of Real Estate, in reorganizing The Circle K Corporation during its Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceeding. Her cannabis clients include multistate retailers and the cultivators/producers, investors, banks/lenders, landlords, and vendors serving them. She is the Executive Board Chair of the Arizona Cannabis Chamber of Commerce and in leadership roles for other notable cannabis-related organizations, including the Arizona Cannabis Bar Association. Janet is a frequent speaker and writer on cannabis developments. Ms. Jackim obtained her J.D., cum laude, from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, and her B.A., with honors, from Indiana University. She is licensed in Colorado and Arizona.
