Julia T. Waggener

Julia T. Waggener, Esq., was a practicing real estate, commercial and litigation lawyer for 43 years, first in Vermont and then Colorado, before joining JAMS Denver as a panelist in 2018. She currently is a mediator and arbitrator at JAMS Denver, emphasizing cases concerning all matters real estate, and including contracts, title disputes, easements and roads, brokers, eminent domain, business issues, and other commercial matters. Julie is former Chair of the CBA Real Estate Section.  Since she first became a member of the governing Council of the Real Estate Section in 1986, over a period of almost 30 years she has served on most of the Real Estate Sections' Committees, including Title Standards, Topical Luncheon, and the Lawyer-Realtor Interprofessional Committee.  She was a two-term member of the CBA Board of Governors. She was appointed twice by then-Governors first to the Denver (Second Judicial) District Court Nominating Commission and later as a Commissioner (including a year as Chair) of the Colorado Real Estate Commission. She completed that 6-year term in 2018.  She has been a featured speaker at this Symposium for the past several decades, and she is proud to say she has attended all of the Real Estate Symposia except one in 1993 (when she and her family were on sabbatical).
