Ryan Butters is an Investor Assistance Specialist in the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's Denver Regional Office, responsible for community outreach and investor assistance across an eight state region. In this role, Ryan responds to hundreds of requests for SEC assistance per year, and provides educational outreach as the regional outreach coordinator with the SEC's Office of Investor Education and Advocacy. Prior to joining the SEC, Ryan worked for a U.S. Department of Defense contractor throughout the Pacific, and as a veteran of the Iraq War he served with the U.S. Army as an infantryman and operations assistant. Ryan obtained his B.A. in history from Pacific Lutheran University, and his graduate certificate in advanced management from Champlain College.
