Sean Singleton is a USA Venture Partner for Beaten Zone Venture Partners. In this role, he seeks to further the aims of Beaten Zone Ventures portfolio companies and investors in the United States. Sean also serves as managing principal of Oglethorpe Capital LLC and an independent director of WaFd Bank (NASDAQ: WAFD). Through Oglethorpe, he works to develop the next phase of disruptive technologies in aerospace and defense, technology, media and telecom, and next-generation energy. Before founding Oglethorpe, Sean gained his corporate finance and capital markets experience at JPMorgan Chase. He is a former system integrator sales executive, Air Force Officer, and Highly Qualified Expert (HQE) at the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU). In that role, Sean was the principal interface to the private equity and venture capital communities across the country. Sean was selected as a Bochnowski Family Veteran Fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University, where he seeks to increase the number of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) students pursuing careers in the Defense Industrial Base (DIB). He has a Bachelor of Science from the United States Air Force Academy and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
