Lockheed MartinDr. Ryan Parsons grew up in rural Iowa and obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Northern Iowa. He earned his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Colorado, then completed residency with the St. Anthony Family Medicine program in Westminster, Colorado. After residency, he spent several years working as an emergency room physician at a critical access hospital in rural Colorado, and then as an urgent care and primary care physician in the Denver metro area. For the better part of the last decade now, he has been working in various occupational medicine settings in Colorado. He is presently the Physician Instructor for Provider Education at the Colorado Division of Workers' Compensation and is also clinically active as the occupational medicine physician at Lockheed Martin's on-site Wellness Center at their space campus in Littleton. Dr. Parsons aims to contribute to continuing to make the Colorado workers' compensation system one that is evidence based, centered on the best possible patient outcomes, and a desirable environment for providers to practice in. He also sincerely enjoys his clinical work in Occupational Medicine as it allows him to be centrally involved in helping patients recover from their injuries. Outside of work, Dr. Parsons enjoys spending time with his wife and their two cats. He is passionate about being outdoors in the mountains and can frequently be found on either highly prominent or rather random mountain summits. He also enjoys strength training and listening to music.
