Dr. Elizabeth Bloemen, MD, MPH., is board certified in internal medicine and geriatrics who works as a primary care geriatrician and the medical director of the Vulnerable Elder Services, Protection, and Advocacy Team (VESPA), a hospital based elder abuse response team. Dr. Bloemen is a nationally known researcher in the healthcare response to elder abuse and neglect. She completed her undergraduate degree in biochemistry from the University of Colorado at Boulder, her Master in Public Health from Columbia University with a certificate in Aging, her medical degree, internal medicine residency, and geriatric fellowship at the University of Colorado School of Medicine.
