Michael Gross defended his first lawyer in a grievance proceeding in January, 1977. It has been a significant part of his practice since then, and, beginning in 1986, attorney ethics matters have constituted approximately 90% of his annual billable hours.
He was President of the Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers, a 600 member national organization of grievance defense lawyers, ethics professors, legal malpractice lawyers, and risk management lawyers, from 2010-2011. He has lectured extensively, nationwide, on all aspects of the Rules of Professional Conduct. He has a Martindale-Hubbell peer review rating of “AV - Preeminent.”
