David L. Erickson
David L Erickson LLCDavid L. Erickson grew up in Seattle, Washington. He received his bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Western New England College in Springfield, Massachusetts. He was President of Student Government and his senior class. He then worked as an engineer in the missile program at Martin Marietta while attending law school at the University of Denver. Upon graduation from law school Erickson was hired as Legislative Assistant to a U.S. Senator in Washington D.C. He began his law practice emphasizing commercial and financial transactions upon his return to Denver where his family roots date back to 1886. He authors a comprehensive business transactions reference book.
As an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association, Erickson has been final arbitrator of numerous commercial and financial disputes. He was also final arbitrator of athletic disputes for the 1996 U.S. Olympic Games Trials. Erickson served on the State Board of Law Examiners, the Board of Governors of the Colorado Bar, as an officer of the Denver Bar, and as a hearing officer for the Colorado Supreme Court. He is currently the Historian of the Colorado Bar.
The author of numerous articles, he was twice elected president of Colorado Authors' League. He served as president of several other nonprofit organizations and managed political campaigns.
A resident of Evergreen, David and his wife Jeanne enjoy working on their mountain property, travel and spending time with their grown children, Jennifer and Russell.
