Daniel M. Taubman

Colorado Court of Appeals

The Honorable Daniel M. Taubman is a senior judge on the Colorado Court of Appeals, a position he has held since 2020. He served as an active judge on the court between 1993 and 2020. Before that, he was the director of the Colorado Coalition of Legal Services Programs and served as an attorney with the Center on Social Welfare Policy and Law in New York and Pikes Peak Legal Services in Colorado Springs and Canon City. Judge Taubman has been an active member of the Appellate Practice Subsection for many years and has authored the in forma pauperis chapter of the Colorado Appellate Handbook. He helped create the CBA’s Appellate Pro Bono Program, and has also served as an active and emeritus member of the Colorado Access to Justice Commission since 2004. He graduated from Cornell University in 1969 and Harvard Law School in 1974. In between, he served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Cuzco region of Peru.
