Honorable James S. Casebolt is a former judge on the Colorado Court of Appeals, and currently works as a mediator and arbiter with the Judicial Arbiter Group in Denver.  Judge Casebolt served on the appellate bench from 1994 to 2015, the last ten years as deputy chief judge.  While an active judge, he authored over 2000 opinions on such diverse matters as medical and legal malpractice, complex commercial issues, negligence cases of all kinds, insurance coverage and bad faith, construction defects, domestic relations, product liability, and real estate.  While an AV-rated trial lawyer on the western slope of Colorado for twenty years, he litigated and tried civil cases in federal and state courts, acted as an expert witness, and was a cofounder of an alternative dispute resolution service headquartered in Grand Junction.
