Ian S. Karpel is an Assistant Regional Director, Enforcement Division, in the Securities and Exchange Commission's Denver Regional Office. Mr. Karpel joined the Commission's staff in 2000, and served as an Enforcement Attorney, Senior Investigations Counsel, and Branch Chief before moving into his current position. Mr. Karpel currently serves on the Enforcement Division's Financial Reporting and Audit Task Force and the Enforcement Division's Cooperation Committee. Prior to joining the SEC, Mr. Karpel worked as an attorney with Holland & Hart LLP and with Patterson & Karpel PC, where his practice emphasized litigation and trials.
