Jeffrey A. Thurnau, Tomkins plc, Chief Patent Counsel, Assistant General Counsel. Jeff has responsibility for managing all aspects of the Tomkins owned companies IP portfolios ranging from creation to enforcement, both domestic and offshore. Included among these companies is The Gates Corporation headquartered in Denver, Colorado with over 14,400 employees in 30 countries. Jeff testified before the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee in June, 2008 in support of the Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights Act, federal legislation aimed at enhancing IP protection. Jeff received his JD from the University of Denver and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He is also a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Colorado.
