Walter N. Houghtaling
Walter Houghtaling has dedicated his trial practice to the defense of licensed professionals, business entities and employers. Mr. Houghtaling is admitted to and has handled matters in the Supreme Court of the United States, the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, the United States District Court and Colorado's state courts. A graduate of Norwich University and the University of Denver College of Law, he clerked for Denver District Court Judge Edward E. Carelli, and then went to work for Long & Jaudon, P.C. in 1989 as an insurance defense attorney and has remained in that role since then. His practice started with representing insureds in personal injury matters. Over time, the focus of his practice shifted to the representation of attorneys, insurance providers, insurance agents, corporate officers and directors, business owners on tort, contract, and employment claims. He has mediated and resolved well over on hundred civil matters over his career. He is currently Of Counsel to Miletich, P.C.
