John Sbarbaro, Esq., practices law in Denver and is a partner at the Law Office of O’Toole and Sbarbaro, P.C.  He graduated from Grinnell College in 1985 and received his law degree from the University of Denver, College of Law in 1988.  Upon graduation John clerked for the Honorable Robert H. McWilliams, United States Court of Appeals, Tenth Circuit.  Thereafter, John worked as an associated at Kirkland & Ellis, as a Deputy District Attorney in Colorado’s First Judicial District and as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of Colorado in both the criminal and civil sections.  John lectures and has been retained as an expert witness in the area of workers' compensation.  John is a current and past Board Member of the Colorado Bar Association, Workers’ Compensation Section, where he was the Chair in 2005-2006, and again in 2015-2016.  John is a Board Member of the Workers’ Compensation Education Association since 1998, was the past President between 2008 and 2010 and again in 2016 through 2018.  In 2010 he was honored as “Outstanding Claimant Attorney” by Professionals in Workers’ Compensation and in 2014 was the recipient of the Butler DeMarino Award from the Colorado Bar Association for outstanding service, dedication, and commitment to the field of Colorado Workers’ Compensation Law.  In 2010 through 2022 John was selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers, and has been listed for the past 7 years, from 2015 to 2022, in 5280 as one of Denver’s Top Workers’ Compensation Claimant Lawyers.
