David L. Kolko is the founder and managing attorney of Kolko & Associates, P.C., where he specializes in the field of U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Law. The firm of experienced immigration attorneys, counselors, and professional staff is dedicated to representing employers and individuals in employment- and family-based immigration matters.
 
Licensed to practice law in the state of Colorado in 1988, he brings more than 25 years of professional legal expertise to the challenging area of immigration law.
 
For more than 10 years, Mr. Kolko has been an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), which is the primary national organization of over 13,000 immigration professionals devoted to the field of immigration law in the United States.
 
In 2010, Mr. Kolko was chosen by his professional colleagues in Colorado to serve on the Executive Committee of the Colorado Chapter of AILA. Currently, Mr. Kolko currently serves as the chair of the Colorado Chapter of AILA, which includes more than 250 licensed immigration attorneys in Colorado.
 
Mr. Kolko is also an active member of the Immigration Law Section (ILS) of the Colorado Bar Association and a past member and officer of the ILS Executive Committee. In this capacity, Mr. Kolko contributes his expert knowledge on local and national immigration topics to various government agencies regarding immigration issues affecting Colorado and the wider community.
 
In 2010, Mr. Kolko was selected to serve as co-editor for substantive immigration articles being submitted to the monthly publication of The Colorado Lawyer. With Jennifer Casey, he co-authored the H-1B Specialty Workers chapter in Immigration Law for the Colorado Practitioner (CLE in Colo., Inc., Supp. 2014).
 
Mr. Kolko is active in the community and conducts seminars in the field of immigration law. He has presented substantive information at many seminars for professional and civic organizations, including being an invited speaker for the AILA National Conference on Immigration Law, the Colorado Chapter of AILA, the Sturm College of Law, the Colorado Bar Association, and various civic and nonprofit organizations. A native of New York, Mr. Kolko attended college at the State University of New York at Albany, earning his bachelor’s degree with honors in political science. In the 1980s, he moved to Colorado to attend law school at the University of Denver College of Law.
