Honorable Judge Tammy Greene was appointed to the County Court bench in Jefferson County in December, 2008. Prior to taking the bench in Jefferson County, she worked as a relief municipal court judge for six years and as the judge in Edgewater, Colorado, for one year. Judge Greene provided relief judicial services to the Cities of Aurora, Boulder, Edgewater, Lakewood, Thornton, Westminster and Wheat Ridge. Before becoming a judge, she was a municipal court prosecutor. Prior to that time, she was in private practice. Her private practice focused on the areas of civil litigation, real estate, small business and estate planning. She attended college at the University of Tulsa and law school at the University of Illinois.Judge Greene has trained judges regarding county court civil litigation, homeowners' associations, restitution, and dealing with sovereign citizens. She has taught continuing legal education courses regarding domestic violence legislation, protection orders, the therapist's duty to disclose, and drafting stipulations.
