Gary Clexton, Esq., was a Social Worker and then a Health Educator prior to becoming an attorney. He began his legal career in 1988 with what was then Pendleton & Sabian. He later co-founded the law firm of King Clexton & Feola. Gary joined Miller & Steiert in 2002. His law practice primarily has focused on employment law, representing both employees and employers, probate and estate litigation and civil disputes. Since 2006, Gary has served as a private mediator resolving cases both as a member of Littleton Alternative Dispute Resolution group (LADR) and for years was a volunteer with Jefferson County Mediation Services (JCMS). He has twice been recognized as Workplace Mediator of the Year for JCMS. Gary also serves as an independent investigator through LADR. In addition, Gary has served as Successor Personal Representative or Special Administrator in a number of cases and was appointed by Douglas County District Court to serve as Special Administrator/Special Trustee of the Estate and Trusts of decedent Toni B. Henthorn. Gary has been listed as a Super Lawyer in the area of employment law and has lectured to lawyers on a variety of subjects including, mediation and ethical issues in expert testimony.  He has served on numerous sections and committees of the Colorado Bar Association (CBA), including the Board of Governors, Joint Management Committee, Budget Committee and has been a member of the CBA Ethics Committee for a number of years. He co-authors the chapter on Ethics and Professionalism Issues in Employment Law Cases for the “Practitioners’ Guide to Colorado Employment Law.”
