Patrick Mulligan, Esq.  is a native Coloradan, with 17 years experience as a criminal defense attorney.  He is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Colorado, and was a member of the Law Review at CU Law School.  Patrick served for 6 years in the trial and appellate divisions of the Colorado Public Defender before opening his own practice over ten years ago.  His practice continues to focus on criminal defense, with an emphasis on homicide litigation.  He has tried cases throughout the state, ranging from DUI to First Degree Murder, including death penalty litigation.   Patrick has been qualified as an expert witness in criminal law and has lectured extensively in the areas of cross-examination, trial and appellate litigation, and criminal law.  He has served for many years as an adjunct professor of trial advocacy at the University of Colorado.  He is an avid runner and bicyclist, and lives with his wife and 3 children in Golden, Colorado.
