Stephen A. Hess practices with Sherman & Howard, LLC in its Colorado Springs and Denver offices. He is identified as a Best Lawyer in America in the fields of Construction Law and Construction Litigation, and has been named in the independently compiled International Who’s Who in Construction Law.
In addition to serving clients on matters around the country, Mr. Hess is an active author, scholar, and speaker. He is the immediate past editor of the American Bar Association’s law review The Construction Lawyer, served several years as editor of Construction Briefings for Thomson Reuters, and has contributed to and edited several national construction law treatises. Mr. Hess has published more than two dozen law review articles on topics covering the breadth of construction law and litigation. Mr. Hess has spoken at national construction law programs, and is an adjunct professor at the University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law, where he created the school’s Construction Law Seminar. Mr. Hess also serves as editor of West’s Colorado Methods of Practice, and is the author of several treatises on Colorado litigation and evidence published by West.
