Daniel Hepner, Esq., joined the firm as Of Counsel in January, 2013 and practices primarily in the areas of bankruptcy and bankruptcy litigation representing debtors, creditors (individuals, institutions and governmental entities) and trustees. His representation of trustees has ranged from assisting with the collection and liquidation of assets to prosecuting preference and fraudulent conveyance actions. Daniel also has experience in general business and commercial litigation as well as complex commercial collection matters. Daniel has been a member of the panel of Chapter 7 trustees for the District of Colorado since April, 1999, and has served as a case by case Chapter 12 trustee in the District of Colorado since August of 2007. He has also been appointed as a Chapter 11 trustee in cases pending in the District of Colorado. Daniel's experience both as a bankruptcy trustee and as an advocate have enabled him to resolve difficult problems in a cost effective manner. Over the course of his 26 years in practice, Daniel has participated as a lecturer on bankruptcy and collection issues at various continuing legal education seminars. Since September 2006, Daniel has been the sole shareholder of Daniel A. Hepner, P.C. From October 1987 to August 2006, he practiced law with the firm of Lirtzman, Nehls & Hepner, P.C. in Boulder, Colorado.
