Richard Magid, PhD, is the Vice President of Technology Transfer at CSU STRATA. He joined CSU STRATA in 2022, coming from the University of Tennessee Research Foundation (UTRF) where he served in a similar role at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) for the previous 12 years. As Vice President, Richard oversees all aspects of the technology transfer operations, including licensing, startup creation, strategic partnerships and operations/compliance. Dr. Magid holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Georgia Tech, and entered the field of technology transfer through an internship at the Center for Technology Transfer at the University of Pennsylvania during his time as a postdoctoral fellow.
