Honorable Bill Edie has been an Administrative Law Judge since 2016, hearing Workers Compensation cases in Colorado Springs. Prior to that, he served as a Hearing Officer with the Colorado Department of Revenue before joining the Central Panel. He received his Bachelors and Law Degrees from the University of Texas at Austin, and an MBA from SMU in Dallas. He began as a Deputy DA in Dallas for several years, and has also practiced insurance defense, commercial litigation, civil rights defense, and criminal defense. He retired after 20 years in the DA's Office for El Paso/Teller Counties, overseeing the Grand Jury, and handling a felony docket, from economic crimes to homicide cases. As a DA in Dallas, his boss was Henry Wade, who personally prosecuted Jack Ruby, and was also the “Wade” in Roe v. Wade. (You should check out the backstory on that one).
