Nathaniel T. Leachman, Esq., is a patent attorney and Corporate Counsel at Pfizer where he works on RNA technology, with a particular focus on mRNA vaccines. Prior to Pfizer, he worked in private practice for 12 years, first as a patent agent with the firm Buchanan, Ingersoll & Rooney, and later as an associate at the law firm Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. He has helped numerous clients obtain patents on FDA approved therapeutics, from start-ups to large pharmaceutical companies. He obtained his J.D. from the University of San Diego and his Ph.D. from the University of California, Davis. Also active in pro bono work, he is a recipient of Wilson Sonsini's 2020 John Wilson Award, which recognizes attorneys who have consistently upheld a commitment to pursue excellence in the practice of law while serving the community.
