Vincent M. Lane, Esq., (“of counsel”) comes to the firm with 25 of years experience as a Special Agent with the Internal Revenue Service's Criminal Investigation Division in Denver, Colorado. An undergraduate alumnus of St. Norbert College, West De Pere, Wisconsin, Mr. Lane received his Juris Doctor from the University of Denver, College of Law in June, 1986.  He has been a member of the Colorado Bar since May, 1987. As a Special Agent with the Internal Revenue Service, from 1975 to 1999, he conducted many complex criminal tax, embezzlement, bank fraud, bankruptcy, health care fraud and like-kind investigations. In 1990, Mr. Lane was assigned to the Office of Independent Counsel, Washington, D.C., for approximately eighteen (18) months, where he assisted in its investigation of fraud and abuse within the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Thus, he brings to the firm extensive experience in the conduct of in-depth financial investigations of various kinds.  Moreover, he has assisted myriad United States Attorneys and Federal Grand Juries in the development and presentation of complex criminal cases, and has testified on numerous occasions in United States District Court. He is a member of the Colorado Bar, and has been active in the making of presentations to, both, CPAs and Attorneys in conjunction with the University of Denver's continuing legal education and graduate tax programs.
