Marsha Kitch, Esq., has 32 years' experience in the area of insurance defense, specializing in workers' compensation defense law.  Ms. Kitch received her J.D., from the University of Denver, College of Law, in 1986, and her Undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan.  Clients benefit from her depth of experience combined with her aggressive approach to defense litigation. Ms. Kitch gained her experience in this specialized area, working at several of the larger workers compensation defense firms throughout the years.  However, beginning in January 2001, Ms. Kitch formed her own practice in Evergreen, Colorado. Before moving her practice to Evergreen, Ms. Kitch was the senior owner of Kitch & Ragland, LLC.  Prior to forming Kitch & Ragland, Ms. Kitch was a partner at Weinberger & Kanan, P.C.  For the past twenty (20) years, Ms. Kitch's firm handled the majority of Zurich Insurance Company's workers compensation defense in the State of Colorado, while also defending various other insureds and employers. Ms. Kitch has lectured on many occasions on various areas of workers' compensation law; and in conjunction therewith, she has authored numerous publications addressing the ever-changing complex laws and rules pertaining to the practice of workers' compensation law.  Ms. Kitch formed a group of defense attorneys approximately twelve years ago, which group meets monthly to discuss the important Industrial Claim Appeals Panel and Court of Appeals decisions.  These meetings result in the publication of a monthly Case Law Update for the benefit of the groups clients.  Ms. Kitch previously served on the Interprofessional Committee of the Colorado Bar Association, and she is a member of the Denver and Colorado Bar Associations, with membership in the Workers Compensation specialty sub- section. When not practicing law, Ms. Kitch enjoys all outdoor sports including skiing, which involves an annual helicopter skiing trip to Canada, tennis, hiking and cycling.  She is also a volunteer with Special Olympics, Colorado.
