Melissa (Mel) Johnson has been a Self-Represented Litigant Coordinator in Denver District County since 2021. Mel has spent the last decade working in family law with the Denver District Court as a clerk and court operations analyst. Mel received her MSW from the Metropolitan State University of Denver in 2026, a paralegal studies certificate from Georgetown University in 2013, and a B.A. in History from the University of Northern Colorado in 2013. Mel is excited about merging her legal experience into social work as part of her career with a focus on pro se parties, access to justice and reducing trauma both inside and outside the court system.
