Stephen M. Brainerd is a partner in Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP's Income Tax, Employee Benefits & Estates Group. His practice is limited to estate planning/administration and related transfer tax matters; fiduciary counseling and risk management; and probate litigation and protective proceedings. Mr. Brainerd has served as an adjunct professor of trusts and estates law at the University of Denver College of Law. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel; a past chair of the Colorado Bar Association Trust and Estate Section Council and a member of its Statutory Revisions Committee; and a faculty lecturer for both national and Colorado CLE programs. Mr. Brainerd is a 1986 graduate of American University's Washington College of Law (J.D.) and a 1982 honors graduate of Colgate University (B.A., philosophy).
