Oil & Gas Accountability Project EARTHWORKSBruce Baizel, Esq., is the Energy Program Director for Earthworks and the Oil & Gas Accountability Project. He has participated in numerous state rulemakings in New Mexico and Colorado related to oil and gas exploration and waste management. He has drafted legislation related to surface owner rights in both Colorado and New Mexico. He has advised local governments on regulation of natural gas in Colorado, New Mexico, Washington, Alaska and Pennsylvania. He is one of 3 environmental representatives on the board of directors of the national organization STRONGER, the State Review of Oil and Natural Gas Environmental Regulations. During the past year, he was invited to make presentations on natural gas and hydraulic fracturing issues to the American Bar Association environmental conference, utility regulators in Canada, state agency enforcement personnel from 15 western states, the district attorney association of California and the Colorado Rural Electric Association. Bruce received his law degree and masters in international relations from the University of Denver.
