Elizabeth S. Marcus received her B.S. degree in journalism from the University of Colorado and her J.D. degree from George Washington University. Her practice focuses on the representation of financial institutions and creditors, with a concentration in complex foreclosure, bankruptcy, real estate title issues, and related litigation. Ms. Marcus also represents creditors in the areas of commercial foreclosures, loan workouts, and evictions. She has worked in conjunction with attorneys, public trustees, and legislators in drafting and revising state legislation impacting the Colorado foreclosure process and participated in the Supreme Court Rules Subcommittee's draft of the last revisions to C.R.C.P. 120. She is a member of the Legislative and Regulatory Affairs Committee of the Colorado Mortgage Lenders Association and has co-authored amicus briefs submitted to the United States Supreme Court and Colorado Supreme Court on real estate-related topics. Ms. Marcus has contributed to and edited articles for various trade publications and has been an instructor at continuing legal education seminars on real estate-related topics.
