Ms. Beattie received her undergraduate degree from the University of California at Berkeley and her law degree from the University of Denver College of Law.  In her prior life, Ms. Beattie was an accountant for Chevron U.S.A. in Walnut Creek, California.  Ms. Beattie practices in the areas of professional liability defense, loss prevention services, general civil litigation, and civil appeals.  She was the chairperson of the 1999 Preventing Legal Malpractice Seminar co-sponsored by the Colorado Bar Association and the Professional Liability Committee of the CBA.  She is licensed to practice in the State of Colorado, and before the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, and the U.S. Tax Court.
