Bret Hirsh is a partner and vice president at Obermeyer Wood Investment Counsel. Bret is a client advisor and member of our Investment Committee, performing security analysis and monitoring portfolio composition. Bret began working in the financial services industry in 2004, and was most recently a founding senior research analyst at One Tusk Investment Management in New York, N.Y. Bret's prior experience includes senior research positions at Scout Capital Management, Karsch Capital, and Crestwood Capital Management. He began his career as an analyst at Ares Management LLC and Credit Suisse First Boston. Bret is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned his B.S., cum laude, in philosophy, political science, and economics. In his free time, Bret serves as a chauffeur for his two young boys. He is a member of the Boulder Chapter of YPO, the President's Society at the Aspen Institute, and the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees at Aspen Country Day School. He is also a trustee at the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver as well as Alpine Legal Services. Lastly, Bret is an avid Boston Red Sox and Celtics fan.
