Honorable Todd Mackintosh currently serves as a part-time Magistrate for the City and County of Denver. Since June, 2020, he has presided over Courtroom 117, the Small Claims Court. Since August, 2020, a new mediation policy was implemented whereby generally all parties in 117 are ordered to attend mandatory mediation, through the Court Mediation Services or a private mediator. Magistrate Mackintosh has practiced law in Denver, Colorado since 1989. He is a former Associate at Brownstein Hyatt Farber & Schrek, in the Civil Litigation Department, where he focused on commercial litigation, construction litigation and landlord/tenant law. He is also a former Deputy District Attorney for the 18th Judicial District, where he tried over 50 jury trials and hundreds of motions hearings and trials to the court. From approximately 2014-2018, Magistrate Mackintosh had the opportunity to work with the mediators at Dispute Management, Inc.- the cases included contract disputes, construction defects, breach of contract claims, personal injury claims and employment matters. Magistrate Mackintosh is a certified mediator through the Colorado Bar Association.
