Shawna M. Geiger

Shawna Mackey Geiger, Esq., is the Training Director for the Colorado Office of Alternate Defense Counsel, which provides representation to indigent defendants. Prior to her role as a trainer, Ms. Geiger represented clients in private practice as well as a public defender. Ms. Geiger teaches trial advocacy and persuasion across the country and serves on the faculty of a number of trial advocacy programs including Western Trial Advocacy Institute. As training director, she organizes a variety of trainings in Colorado, including Alternate Defense Counsel's Trial Advocacy program. She is Past- President of the Colorado Criminal Defense Bar and is active in the National Legal Aid & Defender Association, as well as being a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and a Fellow of the American Board of Criminal Lawyers.
