Lauren Devine, Esq., is a Massachusetts native, and has been entrenched in the cannabis industry since 2016. She is a licensed attorney in Colorado and Massachusetts (Rhode Island admission pending April 2024), and serves on the Colorado Bar Association's Cannabis Law Section Board as the Young Lawyer Representative and is co-Chair of the newly formed Natural Medicine Law Committee. Before becoming an attorney, Lauren worked extensively in the retail/medical cannabis sphere in application strategy, business development, compliance, implementation, managerial, and operational roles. Lauren is also a contributing author to the Colorado Bar Association's first Cannabis Law Treatise, specifically the chapter on Social Equity, wrote an award-winning Comment, The Ethics and Economics of Social Equity in the Cannabis Industry: Making a “Compelling” Case for Constitutional, Impactful, and Sustainable Inclusivity Programs in Ohio and Beyond, and is the co-author of Breaking the Grass Ceiling: Women, Weed & Business, a biographical collection detailing the experiences of twenty-one women who pioneered businesses in the regulated cannabis industry. Lauren relocated back to the east coast in the Spring of 2023, and is currently working for a firm based in Providence, Rhode Island, focusing on estate planning, administration, and probate for high net-worth clients.
