Stephanie Wise is a third year law student at University of Denver Sturm College of Law. She will begin her legal career as an attorney with RM after graduating from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and passing the Colorado Bar Exam. Prior to joining RM as an intern in August 2023, Stephanie interned with the Colorado Juvenile Defender Center, the Office of the Child's Representative, the Colorado Supreme Court, the First Judicial District, a solo student and youth civil rights law practice, the Denver Juvenile Court, and an Am Law 200 law firm. While a student at Denver Law, Stephanie not only excelled in her coursework and internships but also elevated advocacy for young people. She was recognized as the volunteer of the year for the nonprofit Learn Your Rights in Colorado (LYRIC). Beyond LYRIC, Stephanie maintained a connection to her community, working with young people nearly every week. She served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children in her first year. In her second and third years, she increased her impact and provided childcare for support groups of parents in recovery from substance use disorder. All the while, Stephanie informally mentored law students and was a critical ally to fellow student groups. Stephanie's dedication on and off campus earned her the Outstanding 2L Student Award and Student Leadership Award in 2023. Before law school, Stephanie graduated summa cum laude from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in journalism and a minor in sociology. She then spent the better part of a decade at a Denver software company. During her time there, Stephanie led marketing, project management, customer success, product management, and, finally, customer support. Her knack for identifying areas of the business that needed help and providing the solutions made her a successful leader across the organization and the 2020 Employee of the Year.
