Georgia Durán, Ed.D., is a leadership consultant who focuses on creating engaging, inclusive and proactive communication. She serves clients in the business, education, legal and nonprofit and political sectors. Georgia's top love is coaching motivational speakers and clients seeking career changes or completing their dreams of publishing books, writing blogs or starting companies. She served as chief of engagement for the Denver Public Schools and the chief of communication for the Aurora Public Schools. Georgia was a tenured professor at Santa Barbara City College and a graduate faculty member at Brooks Institute of Photography and Film. She is a founding member of the STRIVE charter school network and the Colorado Association of Latino/a Administrators and Superintendents. She has served on more than 100 college, city and state boards, and twice served as the president of the Colorado School Public Relations Association. Georgia provides motivational speeches, workshops and training for adult learners that are inclusive, engaging and collaborative on more than 20 topics. She was the first in her family to graduate from college. Georgia earned a B.A. from Colorado State University, an M.A. from the University of California and a doctorate from the University of Colorado.
